Made in collaboration with the Alaska Conservation Foundation, Alaskan Resilience depicts the hardy and ubiquitous perennial, fireweed. The name fireweed stems from the plant’s ability to thrive in areas burned by fire, and other low-nutrient environments like sand and gravel bars. Quintessentially Alaskan, fireweed are found throughout the state and are a long-appreciated source of nutrients and traditional medicine.
